Latest scoop for the gaming world, the trailer for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has landed and caused a big splash amongst fans. Ubisoft dropped the trailer on everyone unexpectedly and excitement is already building for the latest adventure in the highly successful series. Following in the footsteps of Black Flag and Unity, Syndicate has radically changed up the time-period and gone for a Victorian London aesthetic over the more traditional Creed style.
The trailer promises us all the usual Creed action with slightly modern weaponry and high-octaine action aboard steam trains. The story follows protagonists Jacob and Evie Frye and their battle against the Templars who are keeping the impoverished down with their usual devious tactics. Switching between the two playable characters, you’ll leap, slice and pummel your way across a gorgeously realised vision of 1868 London. There’s also a strongly hinted at feature of corralling the impoverished into gangs to fight back against their oppressors and reclaim what’s rightfully theirs.
A tenative release date of October 23rd has been announced for the PS4 and Xbox One releases with a PC version being released at a later date. For more in-depth information on Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, check out the latest episode of VGU Talks with our resident Dominic Coles.
